Police in Kitwe prevented opposition Socialist Party (S.P) from holding a public rally at Changanamai Grounds in Kwacha East, Kitwe.
On October, 7, scores of Police officers dressed in riot gear camped at Changanamai Grounds to stop the Socialist Party from going ahead with its planned rally.
Earlier, Police informed the Socialist Party in Kitwe not to go ahead with its planned rally citing security reason and insufficient manpower as the cause.
But the party leadership insisted that it would go ahead with the rally.
